How we handle your information

The short version

Nail Price Studio is a pricing calculator, not a data company. We collect only what we need to run the tool. We do not sell your information, and we do not use any third-party advertising or tracking services. We use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights for anonymous, cookieless measurement of page performance. These tools do not receive your business inputs, pricing data, or personal information.

What we collect and why

• Email address - to create and authenticate your account via a sign-in link. If you click the full-access notification button while checkout is closed, we may send one email when full access opens. If you separately opt in to product updates during signup, we may occasionally send relevant updates about the tool. You can opt out of direct email from your account page or by emailing us.
• Business and workspace inputs - business name, workspace type, rent, and income goal - to calculate your pricing results.
• Service details and prices - duration, materials cost, and your current price - to calculate your price floor and confident price.
• Location (country and city) - to show you local market price ranges. You can provide this yourself, or leave it blank and we will estimate your country from your IP address (see below).
• Product usage events - actions like viewing a result or clicking upgrade - stored in our own database to understand whether the product is working. Your business inputs and pricing data are never sent to any third-party service.
• Page performance data - Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights collect anonymous page views, Core Web Vitals, and device/browser type. These tools are cookieless and do not link page visits to your personal identity.

IP address and location detection

If you do not select a country during setup, our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically derives a country code from your IP address and passes it to our server. We store only the derived country code - not your full IP address - and use it solely to match you to local market price ranges. This is labeled internally as "location estimated from network" and is never shown to you as a confirmed location.

If you later set your country in Settings, your manually provided location replaces the estimate.

How your price data may help other nail professionals

When you enter a service price or share what a realistic local price looks like in the feedback survey, that data may be included - stripped of your identity - in anonymized market benchmarks. These benchmarks are what power the "local market range" card that other users see on their result pages.

Your name, email, and business identity are never part of these benchmarks. Only the price figure and its broad geographic context (country, city) are used.

Payments

Payments are processed by the payment provider or merchant of record shown at checkout. We do not handle or store payment card details. We store only the entitlement status (free or paid) and the transaction identifier needed to verify your purchase.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies - set by our authentication provider (Supabase) - to keep you signed in between sessions. These cookies are strictly necessary for the product to work. We do not use advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies from any third party. No cookie consent banner is shown because no non-essential cookies are set.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers needed to operate the product:

• Supabase - database and authentication (US-based; EU user data is covered by Standard Contractual Clauses)
• Vercel - application hosting and IP-based country detection (US-based)
• Vercel Analytics / Speed Insights - anonymous, cookieless page performance measurement. No personal data or business inputs are collected.
• Google (optional) - if you choose to sign in with Google, your email address and account identifier are passed to Supabase via the OAuth authentication flow. No business or pricing data is shared with Google.
• Payment provider shown at checkout - payment processing, as merchant of record

How long we keep your data

• Account data - kept while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of a verified deletion request.
• Payment records - kept for 7 years as required by tax and accounting law.
• Product events - deleted automatically after 24 months.
• Market price observations - your identity is removed from these records when your account is deleted; the anonymized price data is retained for benchmarks.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain uses of it. EU and UK residents have rights under GDPR / UK GDPR. Israeli residents have rights under the Privacy Protection Law 5741-1981.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@nailpricestudio.com. We respond within 30 days. You can also request account deletion directly from the Account page inside the app.

Legal basis for processing (EU / UK)

We rely on the following legal bases under GDPR / UK GDPR:

• Contract performance - to provide the pricing calculator you signed up for.
• Legitimate interest - for product analytics and anonymized market benchmarks, where our interest in improving the product does not override your privacy rights.
• Consent - for the one-time waitlist launch email and optional product update emails. You can withdraw consent at any time from your account page or by emailing us.
• Legal obligation - for payment and tax records.
